So man I just read issue 2 of the final crisis spin-off, legion of 3 worlds and loved it! It's drawn by george perez and written by Geoff Johns. If you're into old school, superheroics that don't seem like rehashes, then this is the comic for you.

The story is pretty much Dc and Geoff trying to clear up muddled Legion of Superhero continuity but doing so in a way that's fun to read. and best of all it features my favorite villain, Superboy Prime, going on a whiny, evil rampage. Man if you have to have a whiner character, please make him kill things. Good examples of this is Tetsuo from akira and Shinji from Evangelion. Both are kind of crybabies with alot of power but man when they use it they go all out. So yea S-boy Prime, pulls together his own evil Legion and Superman and the older good Legion want to stop him. Supes, who's fought with Prime when he was still good in Crisis on Infinite Earths and against him in Infinite Crisis, thinks the only way to stop Prime is to redeem him, because trying to kill or subdue him has not worked. (kid caused and survived a universal explosion)

I really like the idea of redeeming a villain cause it reminds me of how that's done in good shonen manga like dragonball and naruto. Especially in dragonball where most of goku's friends were his enemies at one point. it exploits the good nature of these guys, and is kinda inspiring. maybe we all should try to make our enemies our friends. even if we fail at it, i can't see why it's not worth the effort.

anyway i won't get too preachy but i enjoyed it alot.

aw man I should have been talked about this here, but i co-host a comic book podcast with some friends of mine, for the Savannnah College of Art and Design called Seqalab [link] We do reviews, talk about techniques, industry news and pretty much just have fun. It's very casual and honest but because of that it can somtimes be pretty raw, so don't listen with the kids around. (we do edit things, but we try to keep at as real as possible and sometimes that may lead to more adult humor and comments,)

also i heard that some my friends got accepted to go to SCAD's off campus Japan trip which makes me very happy cause I went last year and must say it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. all i needed was hot asian girlfriend and i would have been set. seriously if u ever get the chance, go to japan. it will change your life.
