just wanted to say, that despite how rough this comics industry can be, i think it's a good time to be in it as well as a fan of it. With good movies, like Iron Man, the Dark Knight, Hellboy 2, the Incredible Hulk, etc., good shows like Gurren Lagann, Supernatural, the Sarah Connor Chronicles, Heroes (sometimes, lol, ok well just Sylar) and good comics like Invincible, the Walking Dead, Kick Ass, Naruto (yes it's gotten good again) Bakuman (by far my favorite comic right now) anything grant morrison writes (i guess that always true, but all star superman and final crisis, is so damned good) Matt Fractions' Iron Man, and well few other mainstream and not so mainsteam things.
sure i get angry at how the buisness side of things is ran sometimes, but i've never seen so many people from all walks of life talking about comics and comic related things before. I just hope we as creators can capitlize on this buzz and provide decent entertainment for people similar to what we did in the golden age. (i know that's extremely idealistic, but shoot for the top and land somewhere close ya' know) cause our currently society is pretty dark, it'd be great if comics could bring a little light.

I definitely agree with you on all points. although I have no idea what Bakuman is.
All Star Superman 12 completed what was perhaps the best superman story ever written. If I ever hear that superman is too powerful and can't be written for, it's obviousky an excuse for lack of creativity,
And I recently just got back into Naruto. It did get good again and it surprised me! So now I want to keep up with it again to see just where Kishimoto is taking it now.

and i agree, no more excuses for the big S being too powerful to write.
