So It's been a while since I talked about the things that's currently inspiring me to create.

First up is my boy dude is 17 and did a 150 page inked, toned and grayscaled comic in about 2 weeks, and it's quality 2. he's even done a few more since then. the dude is pure comic energy unfiltered by art school, crits, editors etc. He reminds me that comics, in the end, should be fun for the creator and not done to please (insert whoever here). not to say that listening to others is a bad thing ( cause i'm lovin my time at SCAD) it just that sometimes making work to quell crits and comments, can something sap the life out of your work. But anyway check out this dude's stuff when you get the chance.

Other inspirations: some movies i've rented in the last few months.

Feast of Love- starring Greg Kinnear, Morgan Freeman, and Rahda Mitchell. just a great film about love and life, that while having a little movie magic in regards to people easily getting into serious relationships, makes up for it by featuring the tragic and happy randomness that's life. and Rahda Mitchell is damn hot in it. Seriously.

The 9's -starring Ryan Reynolds, can't say much about this movie cause it will spoil the awesomeness of it all. Must say a pretty original and ballsy twist at the end.

The Savages- starring Laura Linney and Phil Seymour Hoffman- a not bad, emotional drama about 2 siblings dealing with putting their really old, horrible, abusive father in a nursing home. Great dialogue bits in it, but it wraps things up a little too tidy by the end. still good though.

And Gurren Lagann- cause I just can't get tired of watching and looking at the art for this show. Seriously. It's just packed to the brim with insane energy. Like it's a show that i can't just watch randomly cause it immediately makes me want to create. Second only to Eureka Seven in my mind.

Anyway i should get back to work......
